The Town of Aurora is reminding all residents and visitors that starting November 15, on-street parking is prohibited from 2 a.m. to 6 a.m. until April 15, 2025. Vehicles must also be off the streets during snow removal to help crews clear the roads efficiently. Fines are $50 for parking violations and $75 for obstructing snow removal.
Parking permits are available in selected locations, and residents and visitors can apply for up to 12 free on-street parking permits per year. These permits are not valid during snow events or when plowing operations are in effect. Parking permit applications can be found at aurora.ca/Parking.
If you receive a Town of Aurora parking ticket from November 20 to December 13, the parking fine can be paid for with a new toy or gift card donation through York Regional Police’s Toys for Tickets campaign with donations going to families in need within the community. Toys and gift cards can be dropped off with the parking ticket and original receipt at Aurora Town Hall. For full details visit aurora.ca/Parking.
