Suspects in Aurora Walmart shoplifting arrested in parking lot

Two adults and four youth were arrested in connection with a shoplifting at the Walmart in Aurora Aug. 23.

Six suspects were arrested in connection with shoplifting at the Walmart in Aurora on Friday. 

Shoppers in the area were able to see the arrest that occurred just outside the parking lot of the Walmart at 135 First Commerce Dr., as several police cruisers surrounded a truck. Eyewitnesses spotted several people in the vehicle with their hands raised.

Officers responded to a shoplifting call at Walmart at around 1 p.m. Aug. 23, York Regional Police said.

Two adults and four youths were arrested.

“The suspects fled in a vehicle but were quickly apprehended thanks to the swift efforts from our officers,” Const. Kevin Nebrija stated.

The suspects are facing numerous charges as a result of the investigation, added Nebrija.
