A Canada-wide warrant remains in effect for a suspect wanted in connection with 2017 homicides in Vaughan and Hamilton.

Today is the sixth anniversary of the death of Mila Barberi, 28, of Vaughan, York Regional Police said in a news release.

On Tuesday, March 14, 2017, at about 4:12 p.m., officers responded to reports of a shooting on Caster Avenue near Weston Road and Highway 7.

Officers discovered a male victim and an unresponsive female victim with gunshot wounds.

The investigation involves York Regional Police, Hamilton Police Service and the Hamilton-Niagara detachment of the RCMP.
