York Regional Police are investigating the cause of a fire in a building on Edward Street in Aurora Sunday night.
Central York Fire Services crews responded to an activated alarm at the building Feb. 9 at about 10:10 p.m., according to an incident report.
On arrival, firefighters observed black smoke coming from the one-story building.
There were no occupants in the building and no injuries reported.
The cause of the fire is unknown at the time.
A portion of Edward Street was closed for a few hours as the fire was being extinguished.
CYFS responded with six trucks, 24 firefighters and a chief officer. CYFS worked in collaboration with York Regional Police, York Region Paramedic Services, Alectra and Enbridge Gas.
