Latest incident of rocks thrown at vehicles occurs in Whitchurch-Stouffville

Police continue to investigate numerous instances of rocks being thrown at moving vehicles in the region since September.

The incidents have occurred in Markham and Whitchurch-Stouffville. The most recent incidents were reported Dec. 1 at about 12:30 a.m. in the area of Main Street and Park Drive in Whitchurch-Stouffville. The rocks were thrown from a light-coloured SUV, York Regional Police said in a news release.

Police are investigating several similar incidents that happened in the area of Highway 48 and Major Mackenzie Drive in Markham.
