A Toronto teenager faces multiple firearms offences after a loaded firearm was found during a traffic stop Markham.

Officers were conducting proactive patrol in the area of Warden Avenue and 14th Avenue Sunday, Dec. 8 at approximately 3 a.m. when suspected cannabis was observed in a vehicle, York Regional Police said in a news release. As a result, a search of the vehicle was conducted and a firearm was located, police said.

Kry-Lykwa Harmony Aarons, 19, is charged with:

  • Unauthorized Possession of Firearm in a Motor Vehicle
  • Careless Storage of a Firearm
  • Possession of a Firearm Without a Licence
  • Possession of a Loaded Restricted Firearm
  • Unauthorized Possession of a Restricted Weapon
  • Drive vehicle with Cannabis Readily Available
  • Adult Possession Over 30 Grams of Canada in a Public Place
  •  Improper Muffler – Motor Vehicle
