The Town of Aurora once again partnered with York Regional Police (YRP) for the annual Toys for Tickets campaign, supporting YRP’s Holiday Heroes campaign, an initiative that transforms parking fines into opportunities to support families throughout Aurora and Newmarket.
The Toys for Tickets campaign offers individuals who are issued parking tickets in Aurora to donate new, unwrapped toys or food items of equal or greater value in lieu of paying their fines.
This year’s campaign was a success, and we collected $2,475 in paid ticket donations, of toys, food and gift cards!
Every donation will be delivered to York Regional Police’s Holiday Heroes campaign, ensuring that children and families in Aurora and Newmarket experience the magic and joy of the holiday season.
