The Town of Aurora is asking residents to nominate outstanding individuals, groups, and businesses for the 2025 Community Recognition Awards. These awards celebrate the selfless contributions that support the well-being of the community and its residents. Last year, there were 8 specialty awards, 15 years of service awards and one Citizen of the Year award given to spectacular contributors.
The awards are categorized as follows: Volunteer Service Awards, Youth Volunteer Award, Older Adult Volunteer Award, Green Award, Arts and Culture Award, Community Leadership Award, Good Neighbour Award, Good Business Award, Inclusivity Award, Community Safety Award, and Citizen of the Year Award.
Key dates to remember include the nomination deadline on March 28, 2025, and the awards ceremony on May 26, 2025. The Community Recognition Awards aim to honour those who have made significant impacts through their dedication and service, inspiring others to contribute positively to the community.
