Aurora’s Stormwater Management Ponds are specialized facilities designed to collect, store, and treat stormwater runoff and water from snowmelt. These ponds play a crucial role in preventing flooding, reducing pollution, and protecting our natural waterways.
Despite their appearance, Stormwater Management Ponds are not intended for recreational use and activities such as swimming or fishing are prohibited.
Aurora has many recreational facilities with available swim times and splash pads to cool off in during the summer. For your safety and the well-being of our community, please stay out of the ponds.
