A man was injured in a shooting Saturday at a commercial plaza in Markham.
At about 9:30 p.m., police were called to the plaza in the area of Bullock Drive and Hawkridge Avenue and found a man with a gunshot wound. He was taken to hospital and is in stable condition with non-life-threatening injuries, York Regional Police said in a news release.
A dark grey sedan, believed to be a Honda Accord, pulled up to the front of the plaza and the driver was seen firing numerous shots from inside the vehicle. The suspect fled and was last seen driving west on Bullock Drive.
Police believe it was a targeted incident.
