Three people have been charged in relation to an armed home invasion in September in Markham.

On Sept. 5 at about 3 a.m., police were called to a home in the area of The Bridle Walk and Castlemore Avenue. The victim said three suspects forced their way into the residence, armed with a hammer, while demanding keys to a vehicle. A fourth suspect, who was believed to be the driver, remained in the suspect vehicle.

Two of the suspects fled in the victim’s vehicle, and the other two took off in the suspect vehicle, described as a dark four-door sedan.

Four adults and two children were in the home at the time of the incident, but there were no injuries.

On Tuesday, three search warrants were executed at residences in Toronto, and three Toronto men were charged. Three stolen vehicles were recovered.

The fourth suspect is still at large.

Tremaine Anthony Clarke, 32, has been charged with conspiracy to commit an indictable offence, robbery (two counts), disguise with intent, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 (two counts) and failure to comply with a release order (eight counts).

Omar Ghumman, 22, has been charged with possession of property obtained by crime and possession for the purpose of trafficking (fentanyl).

Khowaja Seddiqi, 22, has been charged with conspiracy to commit an indictable offence and possession of property obtained by crime (two counts).

Clarke was out on two release orders for unrelated charges at the time of his arrest, and Seddiqi has been linked to a home invasion that occurred in October in Richmond Hill.

Police believe the three men may have been involved in other similar incidents.
