Teenagers from Newmarket, Aurora and Toronto have been charged following a tow yard break-in and vehicle thefts in King Township.
On Nov. 15, 2024 at approximately 9:45 a.m., police responded to a break and enter at a tow yard in the area of Highway 11 and Bathurst Street, a York Regional Police news release stated. Three suspects had entered the impound facility and three recovered vehicles were stolen, police said.
Working with Toronto Police Service, investigators identified the suspects previously linked to commercial break and enters in York Region, as well as a residential break and enter Toronto.
On Jan. 10, an adult male and three male youths were charged, police said.
Kenshin Bumanglag, 19, of Toronto is charged with: break and enter x2; theft of motor vehicle x3; possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose x2; possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 x2; possession of break-in instruments x2; mischief under $5,000 x2; and disguise with intent.
Two 17-year-old males from Newmarket are each charged with: break and enter; theft of motor vehicle x3; possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000; possession of break-in instruments; and fail to comply with undertaking.
A 17-year-old male from Aurora is charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.
Police believe a white BMW sedan was involved in other commercial break and enters in the Greater Toronto Area and are asking anyone with information to contact them.
