A 50-year-old man faces indecent exposure charges after a victim with a child reported a man exposed exposed himself to them at a Vaughan shopping mall last month.
The victim reported on Feb. 23 that an indecent act occurred at the mall at Jane Street and Rutherford Road the day prior, according to a York Regional Police news release. At approximately 2 p.m. on Feb. 22, the victim was in a store with their child when a male, unknown to them, exposed himself and touched his genitals.
Through investigation, the male was identified and charged on March 2, police said.
Investigators are releasing an image of the suspect as they believe there are more victims and encourage them to come forward.
Dale Forder, 50, of Toronto is charged with indecent exposure to person under 16 years of age and indecent act.
A sexual assault includes any non-consensual contact of a sexual nature. York Regional Police would like to encourage anyone who feels they may have been a victim of a sexual assault to come forward and report the incident to police. There is no statute of limitations for sexual offences and offenders can be prosecuted well after the date of the offence.
