Driver, 19, killed in rollover crash on Hwy. 407 in Markham

The driver and lone occupant of a vehicle involved in a rollover on Hwy. 407 in Markham on Thursday morning has died, Ontario Provincial Police say.

The OPP says at 9:36 a.m., reports were received of a serious collision involving a vehicle crashing into the right guardrail on the eastbound Hwy. 407 near the exit ramp to Warden Avenue.

Emergency services responded and the driver, a 19-year-old male from Scarborough, was pronounced dead at the scene, police said in a news release.

The highway and ramps in the area were closed for around six hours for collision investigation and cleanup, police said.
