A multi-vehicle collision closed a stretch of Highway 400 near Cookstown Monday afternoon.
OPP reported the middle lane of the northbound 400 was closed at Highway 89 for an investigation. Officers say two vehicles were involved in the collision after one of them was struck by a wheel that came off a third vehicle.
Paramedics were dispatched to the scene. One person was transported to hospital with minor injuries.
Officers from the Aurora detachment are investigating.
A Mississauga man, 25, was charged with operating an unsafe vehicle, part detached, using an unauthorized plate and having no insurance.
All lanes have now reopened.
