York Regional Police is seeking the public's assistance to identify a suspect after a 10-year-old girl was sexually assaulted in a store at a Richmond Hill mall Saturday afternoon.
On Saturday, June 10 at approximately 3:45 p.m., the girl was inside a store at Hillcrest Mall at Yonge Street and Carville Road when a man approached her, engaged in conversation and touched her in a sexual manner.
The victim was able to get away and make a report to police. Investigators are releasing images of the suspect and appealing for public assistance to identify him.
The suspect is described as: male, tan complexion, aged 40 to 55, approximately 5 feet 5 inches with a medium build; short black hair, glasses, with a strong accent and wearing a black v-neck short sleeve shirt, dark pants and white shoes at the time of the incident.
The description of the suspect vehicle is: newer model Hyundai Kona, dark grey, with a sunroof.
