Kui Chen, of Markham, won $100,000 in the Sept. 13 Lotto Max draw.

Kui Chen of Markham is celebrating his first big win — $100,000 — after playing the lottery with OLG for 10 years.

“I checked my ticket using the OLG app on my phone,” said Kui, while visiting the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up his winnings. “I was very happy when I saw what I had won. I shared the good news with my daughter and my sister, and they were thrilled, too.”

He matched the last six of seven Encore numbers in exact order in the Sept. 13, 2024 Lotto Max draw.

Kui, 48, plays Lotto Max and Lotto 6/49 weekly, using OLG’s Quick Pick feature to make his selections.

With his winnings, Kui plans to help his daughter with her tuition, buy a car, and travel.

The winning ticket was purchased at Lucky 8 Lottery on Steeles Avenue East in Markham.
