Three teens have been arrested and two other suspects are being sought in relation to a home invasion Monday in Markham.
At about 4 a.m., police responded to a home invasion in the area of Steeles and Grandview avenues. Five suspects, at least two of whom were armed with hammers, entered the residence by smashing the rear door. They threatened the victim, demanded the keys to his Ferrari and a BMW SUV and forced him to open his garage door, York Regional Police said in a news release.
Police located the suspects' vehicle, a stolen black Acura TLX, in the area of Steeles Avenue and Martin Grove Road in Toronto. Two youths were arrested shortly after. The stolen BMW was recovered in the area of Yonge Street and Eglinton Avenue in Toronto, while the stolen Ferrari was found near Highway 50 and Fogal Road in Brampton.
On Oct. 30, a search warrant was executed at a residence in Vaughan in relation to a third suspect. The suspect was not at the residence, but he was later located and arrested in Pickering.
