As Stanley Cup playoffs begin on Monday, April 17, an interest in collectibles for one of the game’s top players, Newmarket's Connor McDavid, has peaked in recent weeks.
According to eBay search data, the Edmonton Oilers' McDavid has consistently been in eBay Canada's top 11 searched items these past few weeks.
In fact, McDavid has been the only Canadian NHL player in the top 20 searches on the platform overall during the past few weeks, according to an eBay news release.
The only hockey player who consistently garnered more searches on the online marketplace is fellow Canadian Connor Bedard, who has been in the top six searched items on eBay.ca over the same period.
Some of the rarest and coveted sports memorabilia and collectibles can be found on the online marketplace, from sports trading cards, jerseys, and autographed memorabilia.
Some of the McDavid coveted collectibles include a 2015-16 Upper Deck Future Watch sports card listed for $11,870, a signed Oilers jersey listed at $2,023, and 2015-16 Upper Deck rookie card at $94.
