Victim carjacked after being rear-ended in Richmond Hill

 At least three suspects were involved in a carjacking after rear-ending a Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon in Richmond Hill Friday night.

When the victim got out of the vehicle after it was hit from behind by a dark-coloured SUV Jan. 17 at approximately 5:50 p.m. in the area of Leslie Street and Bethesda Sideroad, a suspect entered his vehicle and drove away, a York Regional Police news release said.

Two of the suspects are described as males, age 20 to 30, wearing dark clothing, one with a medium build and the other with a skinny build, police said.

No description is available for the suspect who drove away in the victim’s vehicle.

Investigators are appealing for any witnesses to come forward. Officers would also like to speak with anyone who may have video surveillance or dashcam footage in the area at the time of the incident.
