The CCYR traits include compassion, courage, fairness, honesty, humility, inclusiveness, initiative, integrity, optimism, perseverance, respect and responsibility.

"Although this has been another difficult and challenging year for children, youth, and families in our community, we continue to hear stories on our Character Community podcast of people demonstrating great character. We thought this contest would be a fun opportunity to recognize our community members during the holiday season and possibly win a gift card to buy a special gift or share with their family," Susanne Cappuccitti, executive director of CCYR, said. "During this time of uncertainty, we hope that these stories of people living the character attributes will warm our hearts, lift our spirits and continue to inspire all of us to live with character."

On Dec. 20, two winners will be randomly selected to receive the prize pack of a CCYR toque and a $50 gift card to Indigo or a $50 Ultimate Dining Card.

If you are selected as one of the winners, both you and the person you nominated will receive a prize pack.
