The Town of Aurora invites residents to join in a day of education and reflection at Aurora Town Square on Monday, September 30, to commemorate the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. This significant event is organized in partnership with the Aurora Cultural Centre, the Aurora Public Library, and members of the Indigenous community.

The day will focus on reflection, healing, and acknowledging the lasting impact of residential schools. The event will feature a Ceremony, Sacred Fire, community gathering, and a concert, providing a space for education, healing, and reconciliation.

Event Details:

What: A day of reflection, healing, and acknowledgment of the impact of residential schools.
5:30 p.m.: Ceremony, Sacred Fire, and Gathering (Outdoor Square)
7:30 p.m.: Concert for Truth & Reconciliation (Performance Hall)
