Aurora Gears Up for Culture Days Celebration

The Town of Aurora is set to come alive with creativity and community spirit as it hosts Culture Days from September 20 to October 13. This three-week celebration promises a vibrant array of free in-person programs, captivating exhibits and interactive events, all designed to showcase Aurora’s rich arts, culture, and heritage.

Culture Days in Aurora is a collaborative effort involving numerous local partners, including the Aurora Cultural Centre, Aurora Farmers’ Market, Aurora Film Circuit, Aurora Historical Society, Aurora Museum & Archives, Aurora Public Library, Aurora Seniors Association, Aurora Sports Hall of Fame, Marquee Theatrical Productions, Music Aurora, Pine Tree Potters’ Guild, Society of York Region Artists, and Theatre Aurora. These organizations will offer a variety of engaging activities, ensuring there is something for everyone to enjoy.

The highlight of the celebration will be the Aurora Town Square Culture Days Celebration on Sunday, September 22, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Aurora Town Square, located at 50 Victoria Street. This event will feature a diverse line-up of activities and performances, providing a perfect opportunity for residents and visitors to immerse themselves in the local cultural scene in Aurora.

Culture Days is a national initiative that celebrates arts and culture across Canada. Each year, millions of people participate in thousands of free events, both in-person and online, to experience the importance of arts and culture in their communities.
