York Regional Police have released a video that captures an attempted carjacking by two suspects in a Markham parking garage Saturday night.
A woman had just parked in the garage in the area of Enterprise Boulevard and Birchmount Road when she was approached by two men who demanded the keys to her vehicle Aug. 31 at about 8 p.m., police said. A struggle took place and eventually the suspects fled without the vehicle. The victim was not seriously injured, police added.

Suspect one is a ale, Black, thin build and was wearing a black-hooded sweatshirt, black pants, black mask and black sneakers.
Suspect two is a male, dark skinned, curly hair, tattoo on right forearm, thin build and was wearing a black-hooded sweater, white T-shirt, black pants and white sneakers.
Suspect vehicle is a white 2020 Honda Civic with Ontario licence plate CLCK150.
York Regional Police is providing these tips to avoid a carjacking:
• Be aware of your surroundings at all times, even in places you feel safe
• Stay vigilant at public garages, parking lots, gas stations and at controlled intersections
• Keep your vehicle keys and house keys on separate key rings
• Invest in GPS tracking or vehicle tracking services
• Do not leave your vehicle running unattended
• If you are the victim of a carjacking, avoid challenging the suspects, obtain the best descriptions you can and call 911 when safe to do so.
