A Toronto man and two teenagers have been arrested following an armed carjacking in Markham yesterday.

York Regional Police responded to a report of a carjacking Thursday, Oct. 13 at approximately 4:30 p.m. near Elgin Street and Henderson Avenue.

The victim pulled into her driveway in a black Mercedes G-class SUV, with her young child in the rear seat as another young child played in the driveway, police said.

A man pointing a gun got out of a silver vehicle that had pulled into her driveway behind her, while yelling and demanding the victim get out of the car. The victim’s husband then came out of the house, and the victim was able to grab her child from the vehicle before the suspect fled in her vehicle, as a second suspect drove off in the silver vehicle.

Through police investigation and with the assistance of Toronto Police and the York Regional Police helicopter Air2, investigators located three suspects shortly after and arrested them in Markham. A fourth suspect remains at large.

Zion Mosiah Lewis, 21, of Toronto is charged with robbery with a firearm, disguise with intent, breach of probation X2, and possession of firearm or ammunition contrary to prohibition order.

A 17-year-old and 16-year-old male teens of Toronto are charged with robbery with a firearm, and disguise with intent.
