An elderly woman who was struck by a school bus Tuesday in Richmond Hill has died of her injuries.
Shortly before 3 p.m., York Regional Police responded to a report of a pedestrian who was struck by a bus on Yonge Street, north of Silverwood Avenue. The 84-year-old woman was suffering from a head injury, and the school bus was not at the scene.
The woman was taken to a local hospital before being transferred to a trauma centre. On Wednesday, she died in hospital.
The driver of the bus has been identified and the investigation is ongoing.
