While cars may have been going “honk honk”, what was on the road was likely responding with “oink oink”.
South Simcoe Police found themselves responding to a call for pigs on the road Sunday morning.
Some 15 porkers were found on the lam at Highway 89 and 10 Sideroad east of New Tecumseth.
Officers from B Platoon rounded up the the animals and the owner picked them up, police said.
“Our officers will tell you every day is different and the pig tale is proof,” South Simcoe Police said in a tweet along with the hashtag #RoadSafety.
