Two men have been charged following a spree of thefts of tools and construction equipment from commercial motor vehicles throughout Vaughan.
Between Feb. 1 and March 17, 2024, more than $100,000 worth of tools and construction equipment were stolen in 15 incidents, York Regional Police said in a news release.
Police identified a suspect last year related to the thefts, charging Christian Signorile, 29, of Toronto on April 1, 2024, who was released on bail.
In December 2024 and January 2025, investigators identified another second suspect in connection with additional thefts.
On Jan. 23, both suspects were charged.
Investigators believe other commercial thefts have occurred and are releasing the suspects' images.
Christian Signorile, 29, and Alexander Signorile, 33, both of Toronto, are charged with:
- Theft under $5,000
- Mischief under $5,000
- Fail to comply with release order x5 (Christian Signorile only)
- Breach of peace bond (Christian Signorile only)
- Breach of probation (Alexander Signorile only)
