YRDSB hosting information sessions about specialized arts schools

York Region District School Board’s four secondary specialized arts schools are hosting information nights for families of students currently in grades 8 and 9.

Grade 9 students may apply to enter the program in Grade 10, space permitting.

Families will have the opportunity to ask specific questions about the program during the information session. The Regional Secondary Specialized Arts Program is a four-year program offering a package of arts credits that count toward the Ontario Secondary School Diploma. Students will receive a certificate upon completion. 

Program details, attendance boundaries, selection requirements, contact information and deadlines are posted at respective school websites. Students are invited to apply to the secondary arts school that corresponds with their attendance boundary.
