You can support the youth mobile walk-in clinic provided by the Canadian Mental Health Association York Region South Simcoe by casting a vote for them in iA Financial Group’s annual Canada-wide philanthropic contest.

The local CMHA chapter has a chance of winning $100,000 for its MOBYSS program for youth ages 12 to 25 as one of 12 selected charities in the contest.

“For nearly a decade, MOBYSS has delivered a safe space for youth during their most stressful, heartbreaking and pivotal moments,” Kylee Goldman, director of services at CMHA York Region South Simcoe, said in a news release.

“Receiving $100,000 would empower MOBYSS to expand its reach, delivering free, immediate, judgment-free physical and mental health care to more youth in our community.”

More than half of students today report moderate-to-serious levels of psychological distress, a figure that has doubled over the past decade. Youth mental health challenges are at an all-time high, and services like MOBYSS are critical in addressing this growing crisis, the agency said.

You can help MOBYSS expand its reach by submitting your vote before Nov. 27 at https://donations-contest.ia.ca/community.
