Family Day is coming in Newmarket and some businesses will close for the occasion.
Feb. 17 is a statutory holiday in Ontario. Here is what is open and closed:
What’s Open:
Malls and shopping centres. However, some have reduced hours, including Upper Canada Mall (11 a.m. to 6 p.m.), Vaughan Mills (11 a.m. to 7 p.m.), Hillcrest Mall (11 a.m. to 6 p.m.) and Tanger Outlets (11 a.m. to 7 p.m.).
Pharmacies, including Shoppers Drug Mart at Yonge and Savage (8 a.m. to 10 p.m.), Yonge and Davis (8 a.m. to midnight), and 404 Town Centre (8 a.m. to midnight).
Grocery stores, including John's No Frills at Yonge and Davis (8 a.m. to 6 p.m.), Dickie's No Frills on Leslie (8 a.m. to 6 p.m.), Metro locations at Mulock and at Davis (both from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.). Check hours online or by calling ahead before going shopping.
The Magna Centre at 800 Mulock Dr. is open from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. with drop-in programs. The fitness centre there is open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.
The Recreation Youth Centre and Skate Park at 56 Charles St. is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. with drop-in programs.
The skating feature at the Riverwalk Commosn will be open from 9 a.m. to 10:30 p.m., weather dependent.
The Lions Park Hockey Rink at 424 Darcy St. will be open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

GO Transit will be running a Saturday schedule on Monday.
York Region Transit will be running a Sunday schedule.
