Newmarket presents Black Gold, Friday, Nov. 1: The concept of Black Gold is to illustrate in song the evolution of Motown music in 1963 hits to the mid-'80s pop hits of mega star entertainers. This talent-packed show features six skilled vocalists and a stalwart band of five musicians performing the golden hits of The Drifters, Martha and the Vandellas, The Four Tops,The Temptations, Donna Summer, The Supremes, Lionel Ritchie, Whitney Houston, Michael Jackson and others.
