Get ready to experience your worst nightmares as the Town of Newmarket brings back its spooky Halloween event from Oct. 24 to 26.

Town staff will transform a section of the Dave Kerwin Trail into a spine-chilling haunted trail from 7 to 10 p.m. each night. The event promises thrills, chills, and a bloody good time.

There will be terrifying decorations, eerie lighting, bone-chilling sound effects, and actors in scary costumes. This event is not for the faint of heart.

The town recommends the event is suitable for children ages 10 and older, and that children under 12 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

The event has been a hit, as thousands of participants have attended each year since it was first held in 2021. The town advises arriving early, as there will be a line-up.

Attendees are asked not to wear costumes, be respectful to staff and event materials and not touch anything on the trail.

“The safety of our staff, sponsors, vendors, actors, volunteers, and participants remain our highest priority,” the town said.

You are asked to bring a non-perishable food item to be donated to the Newmarket Food Pantry. Bins will be located at the town booth, where donations can be dropped off.

Limited parking will be available on site. Participants can park on the residential side streets where signs permit. Parking is not permitted on Woodspring Avenue.

The free event requires no registration. The line will start from the trail entrance at Environmental Park, 325 Woodspring Ave.
