Board Gaming: Join local board game enthusiasts every other Friday at Cardinal Press Espresso Bar at 200 Main St. Newmarket at 6 p.m. The games are provided and teachers are available, or you bring your games to teach others. Note from organizers: We don't tend to play a lot of 'traditional' board games such as Monopoly, Clue, Sorry! Let them know what you would like to play when you RSVP and they will bring those games.

Guided Forest Bathing Adventure and Labyrinth Walk: At 4 p.m. at the Woodland Hills Labyrinth Park in Newmarket. Shinrin Yoku is a Japanese concept meaning forest bathing, a simple, effective, and fun mindfulness practice of connecting with nature through the five senses to unwind and recharge. During this 2-hour adventure, you will be guided to a deeper state of relaxation through a series of sensory-oriented practices that will bring you into the present moment to become one with yourself, with others, and the forest. The forest bathing adventure will be followed by tea and snacks and a forest walk. Tickets are $25.
Second Annual Cornhole Palooza: Cornhole Palooza will consist of cornhole, beer pong (presented by Play Pong) and Spike Ball in an Olympics style tournament with live music, from noon to 6 p.m. at Market Brewing, Newmarket. Sign up in a team of six people ($30 per player, $180 for the team of six).
English Country Dance: Join the dance at Trinity United Church, 461 Park Ave. at Main Street, Newmarket from 2 to 4 p.m. Beginners welcome; all dances taught; you don't need to bring a partner. Admission by donation; your first class is free. Join the group on the first, third and (when there is one) fifth Saturday of the month.
Newmarket Farmers Market: Farmers, vendors and volunteers create a hive of activity reminiscent of the town’s early years as a new market. Georgina Yoga & Music Festival: Enjoy the "flows" and "Asanas" of Georgina as you participate in a variety of yoga sessions geared toward all experience levels. Live music, local vendors and food will also be on site as you explore the Clearwater Farms expansive agricultural property from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at ClearWater Farm, 1614 Metro Road, Willow Beach.
Jason Benoit Live at Main Street Music Hall: Hailing from Fox Island River, Newfoundland, country artist Jason Benoit knows what country music’s all about with 4 top 30 hits, a gold single and pair of CCMA awards under his belt. He truly knows how to entertain a crowd with a song, and seeing him perform live reveals the true grit and glory of this Canadian Country crooner. Richmond Hill Live! In the Plaza – Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 7 to 9 p.m.
Join the Richmond Hill Centre for the Performing Arts this month for a revamped summer music series featuring local artists performing in the theatre’s outdoor plaza on Yonge Street. Tuesday nights feature artists from a range of musical genres and Wednesdays are Open Mic nights.
Sutton Fair and Horse Show, Aug. 4 to 7: The fair and show return, with tractor pull, midway rides, frog jumping contest, horse pull, garden tractor pull and pet contest at Sutton Fairgrounds, 3 Fairpark Lane, Georgina. Sharon Temple car show, Aug. 7: Highway 11 Cruisers Car Club and the Sharon Temple Museum Society host a classic car, truck and bike show at the Sharon Temple, 18974 Leslie St., from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. This event brings hundreds of vehicles ranging in make, model, and year. Featuring a barbecue, prizes and awards. Cost $5 to $12, proceeds go to charity.
Socialskilled Summer Social, Aug. 11: Parents night out at the Armoury, 89 Mosley, Aurora from 7 to 10 p.m. with live music, appetizers, prizes, complimentary Non-Alcoholic beverages and cash bar. Tickets, $25.
Main Street Pub Experience, Sunday, Aug. 14: Join an afternoon celebrating a few of the food and drink establishments of Main Street Newmarket, including Cachet, Hungry Brew Hops, Made in Mexico, and Old Flame Brewery, with a bonus stop from 4 to 10 p.m. You will spend an hour at each establishment getting food and drinks at each before you move on to the next one!
