The grand opening of Aurora Town Square will be celebrated over multiple weeks, from Sept. 20 to Oct. 13, with entertainment, workshops and previews.
"This momentous occasion will be marked by a variety of indoor and outdoor entertainment, including hands-on workshops, exclusive previews from partners, and captivating performances," a Town of Aurora news release said.
The grand opening is expected to draw audiences of all ages from Aurora and beyond, providing visitors with unique experiences and vibrant cultural offerings.
Opening celebrations will showcase the venue’s state-of-the-art design and a diverse range of future programming, with a 32,000-square-foot addition and 29,000-square-foot outdoor community space.
“The grand opening of Aurora Town Square represents the culmination of our community’s vision for a dynamic gathering place in the heart of downtown Aurora,” said Mayor Tom Mrakas. “We are thrilled to invite the community to join us in celebrating this milestone for our town.”
To complement the grand-opening experience, participating businesses will be offering special discounts and promotions to performance ticket holders, valid from Sept. 20 to Oct. 13. Full details and ticket sales will be announced later this summer at AuroraTownSquare.ca.
