With spring comes cleaning.
You can help keep your neighbourhood clean by joining the town's 41st Annual Community Cleanup initiative April 23 to May 4.
Free cleanup kits are available at Town of Newmarket customer service kiosks during business hours at the Municipal Offices (395 Mulock Dr.), Magna Centre (800 Mulock Dr.) and the Ray Twinney Recreation Complex (100 Eagle St. West).
You are encouraged to pick up a cleanup kit and take the supplies back to your neighborhood and parks to clean over the two-week period, at a time that works best for you.
On Saturday, May 4, the Town of Newmarket hosts its annual Community Cleanup 2019 event at the Municipal Offices, offering community cleanup kits at 9 a.m. for those wishing to join the cleanup in the morning, followed by a complimentary appreciation barbecue and entertainment from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., to which all who volunteered to clean up throughout the two weeks are invited.
