Renukaben Patel, of Woodbridge, won $300,000 on Instant Giant Cash Stash.

Filling time while waiting for her pizza resulted in Renukaben Patel of Woodbridge being $300,000 richer.

“While waiting for my pizza order to be prepared, I decided to buy an Instant ticket to play,” Patel said, while visiting the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to collect her winnings. “The retailer suggested I try the new Giant Cash Stash game, so I did. I went over to the lottery terminal to have my ticket validated, and suddenly, OLG was calling. I was so overwhelmed that I waited until later that evening to share the good news with my daughters.”

“I’m very happy. I play the lottery because it’s fun and exciting, not because I expect to win,” the mother of two added.

Patel won a top prize with Instant Giant Cash Stash Game #2441.

Patel, who works in manufacturing, has been playing the lottery with OLG for two years. She enjoys playing Instant games and has had some great wins along the way. She previously won $2,000 with Instant Big Stack and $10,000 with Instant Jackpot Multiplier, both in 2023.

When asked what she will do with her windfall, Renukaben said, “I have no plans yet. I’ll wait until I settle into this win and the money is in the bank. I look forward to celebrating Diwali,” she concluded.

The winning ticket was purchased at George’s Convenience on Major Mackenzie Drive West in Woodbridge.
