The Southlake Community Ontario Health Team (OHT) is once again providing access to health-care services within the communities it serves, with the launch of a COVID-19, Cold and Flu Care clinic in Georgina. The clinic will open by appointment only on March 17, 2022 and will provide in-person care for those experiencing moderate cold, flu, or COVID-like symptoms.
The clinic will be operated by Southlake Community OHT partner Enhanced Care Clinic and GoToDoctor.ca and will be staffed by physicians, nurses, and health-care professionals from the local communities.
The Southlake Community OHT is committed to providing timely and high-quality access to health care and clinicians through this clinic. The clinic accepts booked appointments only.
“With an ongoing goal of ensuring access to all communities we serve, the COVID-19, cold and flu clinic will provide a convenient option for people experiencing symptoms,” says Gayle Seddon, Director, Southlake Community OHT. “The Southlake Community OHT is committed to providing connected care and ongoing COVID-19 support throughout this pandemic.”
"Recognizing the needs for patients with symptoms to access in-person care, our team is excited to be supporting this meaningful initiative,” says Tommy Cheung, CEO/President, Enhanced Care Clinic and Gotodoctor.ca. “Special thanks to the Southlake Community OHT, the Georgina community, local physicians and our medical team for making this possible.”
COVID-19 testing will be available in alignment with the provincial eligibility criteria. Travel swabs are not available at this clinic.
