York Region Transit (YRT) is making schedule and route changes for its On-Request service as of Monday.
As a result of changing customer demand, YRT is making the following service changes effective Monday, Jan. 15, 2024, according to a news release:
- On-Request East Gwillimbury GO will be replaced by On-Request Holland Landing; On-Request Holland Landing will service East Gwillimbury GO station weekdays from 5:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m.
- On-Request Keswick will be extended to service the new Town of Georgina Multi-use Recreation Complex in advance of opening to provide service for complex staff
- On-Request Newmarket Local southern service boundary will be adjusted
Services available on the YRT On-Request app effective Monday, Jan. 15, 2024:
- Booking a ride on the app for the following On-Request services: Holland Landing, Keswick, Kleinburg-Nashville, Newmarket Local, Richmond Hill Local and Stouffville
- Existing service areas include Aurora GO, King, Maple-Rutherford GO, Mount Albert and Sutton-Pefferlaw
- Booking a round trip between your home or any address and a preselected location in your service area using the new YRT On-Request app
The existing Mobility On-Request app can be used to book trips in the remaining On-Request service areas. These services will be integrated into the new app in spring/summer 2024.
