Richmond Hill Public Library has launched RHPL On the Go, express kiosks at Ed Sackfield Arena and Elgin West Community Centre, to make it easier for library members to access books and return borrowed materials.
“RHPL On the Go is about bringing the library to our community in new and innovative ways, making it easier than ever for people to access library resources where it’s most convenient for them,” said Bruce Gorman, CEO of Richmond Hill Public Library in a news release. “These kiosks are a significant step in expanding access and ensuring everyone can enjoy the many benefits the library provides.”
How it works
- Scan your library card to unlock the kiosk.
- Select a book from the collection, or return items you’ve finished.
- Close the door, and you’re all set.
The kiosks are stocked with a selection of books for all ages and interests.
Convenience for everyone
The RHPL On the Go kiosks are part of RHPL’s ongoing efforts to make library services more accessible and convenient for all Richmond Hill residents. Whether you’re taking your child to swimming lessons or on your way to work out at the fitness centre, our kiosks provide a seamless way to borrow and return library books, the release said.
