ONTARIO INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL (ONIFF)

EVENT: Official Launch of the Ontario International Film Festival, ONIFF
EVENT DATE: Feb. 4th at 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Barbara Frum Public Library, North York 3rd floor.
With the new year comes new resolutions, and a Canadian multicultural entertainment non-profit organization is ensuring its concept to promote, increase and nurture the development of film and television in Canada rings true. Today, we announce the launch of the Ontario International Film Festival, ONIFF at the third-floor auditorium of the Barbara Frum Public Library at 20 Covington Rd., North York on Tuesday, Feb. 4 at 10:30 a.m.
The film festival will run from Oct. 19 to 22, 2020. The entry date for completed film submissions will open Feb. 24 and close May 2. Categories for domestic and international films include: drama, features, short and documentary films. There is also a category for student films, which will include: “all types of films and genres”. The criteria for film submissions is on the Film Freeway section of www.oniff.ca.
ONIFF is designated to become a pioneer and catalyst for developing more talent and opportunities for future filmmakers in Ontario, and particularly those with diverse backgrounds or the marginalized.
The film festival will allow producers to network and meet with filmmakers. ONIFF encourages diversity and the involvement of people from different backgrounds working together.
The official launching will be followed by a question and answer period, lunch and a social networking session.
