About the award: This annual award honours the first Director of our Palliative Care Network, Brenda Smith, and her contributions to advancing Hospice Palliative Care in our region. Sadly, in 2008 Brenda’s life was cut short by cancer; the ripple effects of her great leadership and vision is what continues to build capacity and enhance quality today.
