Mulock Drive in Newmarket will temporarily close from May 7 to 10 for improvements to the railway crossing west of Bayview Avenue.

The portion of the road, about 450 metres west of Bayview/Prospect Street, will be closed to motorists, pedestrians and cyclists from Friday, May 7 at 9 p.m. to Monday, May 10 at 5 a.m., according to a York Region public notice.

Metrolinx is making improvements to the railway crossing located on Mulock, and the road will be repaved by York Region where it connects with the crossing.

A detour route will be in place and signs will guide travellers around the closure.

Work may be rescheduled due to weather conditions or delays related to COVID-19 public health guidelines. York Region will provide advance notice whenever possible.
