More than 35 different businesses, organizations and leaders in Newmarket and East Gwillimbury are finalists in 10 categories for the Central York Chamber of Commerce's 2024 business excellence awards.
This is the first awards event since the merger of the Newmarket and East Gwillimbury chambers.
“The merger has meant the opportunity to highlight some of the many fantastic businesses across the central York Region,” Central York Chamber president and CEO Chris Emanuel said in a news release.
Today's announcement of the finalists comes after several weeks of nominations. Businesses in both communities were able to be nominated, with criteria based on excellence in areas like company growth, community service, marketing and more.
