On Thursday, Feb. 20, Magna International’s Neighbourhood Network is hosting the 2020 Magna Hoedown application info sessions at their office, 14988 Yonge St., Aurora.

All organizations – charities, non-profits, or community groups – interested in learning more about the 2020 Magna Hoedown application and requirements for selected Hoedown recipients are invited to attend. Pre-registration is required – due to room capacity, you must register in advance to attend, and walk-ins may not be able to be accommodated. There are five sessions currently open for registration:

  • 10 – 10:30 a.m.
  • 11 – 11:30 a.m.
  • 12 – 12:30 p.m.
  • 1 – 1:30 p.m.
  • 2 – 2:30 p.m.

“We’ve found that those who attend our Info Sessions, even organizations who have received Hoedown funding in the past, walk away with practical tips to ensure their success if they are selected as a beneficiary of the event,” says Erin Cerenzia, manager of Neighbourhood Network and chair of the Magna Hoedown.

“The Info Sessions also give us the opportunity to identify those smaller, grassroots groups in need of support, and match them with another similar organization to collaborate together as one Hoedown recipient. We have been able to extend the reach and impact of the Hoedown by creating these collaborations, and encourage organizations to apply in this manner.”
