A Unionville father of two plans to pay some bills, help his loved ones, and enjoy a cruise in Spain with his family after winning $50,000 in a Daily Keno 7 Pick Dec. 10.
“I learned of my win when I scanned my Daily Keno ticket on the OLG app,” Sean Sands said, while visiting the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to claim his winnings. “I shouted with joy and broke out the happy dance! It was a very exciting moment. I told my mother about my win, and while she couldn’t believe it at first, she was just as thrilled as I was!”
Sands has been playing the lottery with OLG for more than 20 years. He enjoys playing Daily Keno, Lotto Max, and Lotto 6/49. He sometimes chooses numbers that correlate to special family birthdays, and other times, uses OLG’s Quick Pick feature to make his selections.
“It’s surreal to be starting the new year with a life-changing event,” Sands smiled. “It’s unbelievable, but such a great feeling!”
The winning ticket was purchased at Petro-Canada on Steeles Avenue East in Scarborough.
