Ontarians have a new way to renew accessible parking permits as the province is implementing online servicing.

Residents can now visit Ontario.ca/Renew/App to renew their permits, apply for a traveller's permit or motorcycle decal, or request a change in address through the service.

“Our government is committed to providing services that are accessible and inclusive for everyone,” Minister of Government and Consumer Services Ross Romanso said. “We are excited to be offering digital fulfilment for yet another category of transactions to Ontarians. It is my hope that bringing accessible parking permit renewals online for the first time will make life easier and more convenient for seniors and individuals with accessibility needs.”

The service was previously available in person at a ServiceOntario centre or by mail. Those options will remain available, in addition to online, though the province is advising people to use online services when possible. Those who renew online will receive their new permit by mail.

The service is also available for organizations that transport people with accessibility needs.

The province said there are more than 700,000 Ontarians with accessible parking permit.
