Dawn, I am requesting your support to cancel plans for more gas fuelled power plants. The actions of you, Doug Ford and your Conservative colleagues in this matter are unconscionable, un-economic, and irrational.
This is an unacceptable plan that goes against essential efforts to fight the climate change emergency. Ontario's need for more electricity should be met by solar, wind, and other climate friendly options.
Had you not cancelled the Green Energy Act, we would not in this situation. There is still time to change direction and approve climate friendly alternatives. Not only will this reverse a bad decision, Ontario will reap significant national financial rewards available to provinces that take serious action to fight climate change.
