You will soon be able to get tested for COVID-19 at pharmacies in Ontario.
As of Friday, up to 60 pharmacies in Ontario will begin offering testing by appointment only. The government says further locations will come up in the next few weeks.
In a press release issued today, the government said this initiative will expand testing capacity well beyond the province's 150 assessment centres. The province says pharmacies will have the choice as to whether they want to test Ontarians who don't show symptoms.
Premier Doug Ford has said the goal is to conduct 50,000 tests a day.

Ontario Premier Doug Ford is holding his daily press conference at 1 p.m. in Huntsville today.
It is expected that the premier will release more details on his government's COVID-19 fall preparedness plan this afternoon.
The provincial government released the first part of the plan on Tuesday, which included a $70M flu shot campaign, the largest in Ontario's history.
Ford will be joined by Health Minister Christine Elliot to make the announcement.
