The Town of Aurora is excited to host its annual Fall Community Cleanup on Saturday, September 28, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. This event is not just about cleaning up the town, but about coming together as a community to protect and cherish our environment.
Aurora’s green spaces provide the community with a place to unwind, engage in outdoor activities, and connect with nature. However, over the summer months, these areas can become cluttered with debris and waste. By participating in the Fall Community Cleanup, you’re contributing to the preservation of these precious spaces, ensuring they remain pristine and inviting as we head into the winter months.
To participate, volunteers can signup at aurora.ca/cleanup, complete the registration form and choose a location or pick from a list of designated locations to cleanup. Students will be provided with volunteer hours for participating.
New this year, participants can pick up a cleanup kit at Machell Park on the day of the event, while supplies last.
